Drawing Music: Galilee Quartet in Cambridge

I had the chance to attend and also draw the Galilee Quartet, an Israeli Druze quartet of siblings (3 brothers and 1 sister) who are standing up for peace. The eldest, Omar, has served 150 days in prison for refusing to join the Israeli army, his younger brother faces this in the coming year with the youngest brother also in line to serve jail time.

Amnesty International are touring this amazing quartet, who seem to be filled with courage, light and inspiration and who believe music can transcend barriers and act as a vehicle for peace.

I was honoured to be able to draw them, speak to them briefly and show them the drawing too. An inspiration for a generation to come, for sure!
